rehabilitación del Monasterio de San Jerónimo de Buenavista
En la periferia de Sevilla, concretamente en el barrio de San Jerónimo, se encuentra el Monasterio que abandera su nombre, casi como un icono que se entremezcla entre los pequeños y grandes bloques plurifamiliares que forman un paisaje que habla de la época de los cincuenta y de las barriadas obreras.
La principal intención del proyecto es la puesta en valor del Monasterio de San Jerónimo y de los habitantes del barrio, creando así un programa capaz de acoger a cualquier usuario, proclamando la integración y la asistencia social que ellos precisan.
Para ello, se diseña un programa que acoja diferentes usos, funcionales y cambiantes, de modo que rindan a las necesidades que surjan del devenir de los usuarios. De esta forma el proyecto es capaz de rendir cuentas a la ciudad, a través de su Clautro Principal, y a lo local a partir de la nueva edificación que se enterrará anexa al Monasterio.
On the outskirts of Seville, specifically in the neighbourhood of San Jerónimo, is the Monastery that bears his name, almost like an icon that is intermingled between the small and large blocks that form a landscape that speaks of the time of the fifties and the working class neighbourhoods.
The primary intention of the project is the enhancement of the Monastery of San Jerónimo and the inhabitants of the neighbourhood, thus creating a program capable of welcoming any user, proclaiming the integration and social assistance they need.
To do this, a program is designed to accommodate different uses, functional and changing, so that they meet the needs that arise from the future of users. In this way, the project can render accounts to the city, through its Main Cloister, and to the local from the new building that will be buried adjacent to the Monastery.
