La explotación de suelos agrícolas es una de las principales fuentes de ingresos de Andalucía, gracias a la riqueza de los tierras de esta región. No obstante, diversos suelos, con composiciones minerales y gravas, se destinan a la extracción de sus componentes para su posterior uso en construcción y diversas áreas. Tras la explotación de la mina la huella medioambiental que deja es innegable, surgiendo socabones en mitad de los campos que quedan coronados por máquinas, que parecen haber salido de las películas futuristas del séptimo arte. Situados en Cádiz, el proyecto propone la regeneración de 6 excavaciones mineras abandonadas a lo largo del río Guadalete, generando así un nuevo foco de actividad y la recuperación de una antigua vía agropecuaria. Para ello, se interpreta el nuevo paisaje como una oportunidad para la generación de humedales, potenciando y conservando la migración de las aves, y los suelos con alto índice de acidez como viñedos colectivos, generando una microred con los pueblos colindantes.

The exploitation of agricultural land is one of the main sources of income in Andalusia, thanks to the wealth of land in this region. However, various soils, with mineral compositions and gravels, are intended for the extraction of their components for later use in construction and various areas. After the exploitation of the mine, the environmental footprint that it leaves is undeniable, with socabones emerging in the middle of the fields that are crowned by machines, which seem to have come out of the futuristic films of the seventh art. Located in Cádiz, the project proposes the regeneration of 6 abandoned mining excavations along the Guadalete River, generating a new focus of activity and the recovery of an old agricultural route. To do this, the new landscape is interpreted as an opportunity for the generation of wetlands, enhancing and conserving the migration of birds, and soils with a high acidity index as collective vineyards, generating a micro-network with neighboring villages.
